DIRECTOR MANDATE FOR 2022

Article Summary

As we enter 2022, the first week was always the beginning of every plan, implementation, and action in every organization or even an individual. A vital start to determine the dynamism in achieving every goal targeted. Thus, happening early this morning is i-PUTRA first ‘family’ annual new year meeting with our Director Prof. Dr. Suhaimi Ab Rahman who has been spearheading the centre since last year. In the session is where he shares the idea of VUCA (a leadership theory by Bennis and Nanus – to describe or to reflect on the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity of general conditions and situations) coherent with the current global situation. However, VUCA is where creativity emerges within limitations in finding new ways beyond adaptability and this has shown from what i-PUTRA has achieved in 2021. He believed that this year the centre could do better by re-visit our vision and commitment to becoming a leading centre for internationalisation education in Malaysia and coherence with UPM five key values. Image: Kelab Warga i-PUTRA president Mr. Nasharuddin Yunos giving well wishes to everyone The 90 minutes session was indeed an aspiration we received not only from the Director himself but also The Deputy Director Prof. Ir. Dr. Hasfalina Cheman and The Head of i-PUTRA Madam Noraihan Nordin who shares their words of wisdom to the i-PUTRA 'family' to kick off our 2022. With driven determination, we plan to strive for more and give the best service in working towards the accomplishment of the university. Image: i-PUTRA family photo of 2022.
