Description of Programme

This programme allows students and staff from UPM to apply for scholarship to attend programmes at the University of Padova. The subject area is Chemical and Process Engineering. Students can apply to go for one semester and academic staff can apply to go for up to 2 months.

Duration of Programme

1 semester (6 months) – student mobility

2*semester starts on 25 September 2017 until 23 February 2018

  • Chemical Reaction Engineering (12 ECTS credits)
  • Multiphase Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena (9 ECTS credits)
  • Separation Unit Operations and Process Simulation (12 ECTS credits)

  • Flight
  • Subsistence Costs – €850/month

*expected cost of living €600 – €700/month (minimum)

Eligibility

  • Student from Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences & Faculty of Food Science and Technology.
  • The student is required to be studying at Master degree and Bachelor degree level (semester 6 and above) at UPM.
  • The grade point average (GPA) of a graduate student is to be at least 3.0 on a four-point scale with a status of Good Standing.
  • Student taking Master by Coursework preferred. Prospective Masters students can apply provided they attach the offer letter from UPM for September 2017 intake and have paid UPM fees before travel.
  • English Language Requirement – Level B1 (intermediate) equivalent to MUET Band 3.

  • Visa – Non-EU students must apply visa before arriving in Italy.
  • Accommodation – University of Padova’s Halls of Residence & Accommodation. (€205 –  €320 / month)
  • Insurance – Non-EU students must have a health insurance policy valid for the whole duration of the stay. The insurance company must have an agency or an emergency management agency based in Italy.
