SERDANG, 14 February. Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received an official AIMS meeting-visit from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Japan to discuss international cooperation opportunities with UPM. 

The visit was represented by Prof. Kato from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan together with Dr. Roslan Ismail and Dr. Juwaidah Sharifuddin from Faculty of Agriculture as well as Dr. Nor Akmar from Faculty of Forestry. Director of Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Talib is also present as well as Mdm Saliza Mustafa, Head of Division of i-PUTRA and Ms. Nadia Zawani from mobility section.

Director of i-PUTRA UPM, Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Talib hopes that more students from both universities will take advantage of this collaborative initiative. "I believe that with the cooperation between UPM and TUAT, Japan, not only the number of students from Japan increase but also attracted more UPM students to study exchange programs in the Japan," he said.

It is hoped that this collaboration will attract more students both institutions to undergo student exchange programs (mobility and research) as well as various internationalization opportunities.
