18 DECEMBER 2018: Visit of Delegates from Osaka Prefecture University, Japan

SERDANGDecember 18. Putra International Centre (i-PUTRA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received an official delegation visit from Osaka Prefecture University, Japan today, to discuss further activities and projects with UPM.

The visit was led by Prof. Nobuhiro Sugimura, Special Appointed Vice President for International Affairs, Graduate School of Humanities and Sustainable System Sciences. Miss Tomomi Kuribayashi, Head of International Offices. Mr Takayuki Enomoto, Senior Staff of Student Affairs Division. Miss Sachimi Takemura, Staff of Library and Science Information Office.

They hopes to recruit students from Malaysia and UPM especially to the Osaka Prefecture University for exchange programs in postgraduate studies. Acting Director of i-PUTRA UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noritah Omar, hopes that more students from both universities will take advantage of this collaborative initiative.

“I believe that with the cooperation between UPM and Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, not only the number of students from the Spain has increased but also attracted more UPM students to study exchange programs in Japan”, he said.

It is hoped that this collaboration will attract more students both institutions to undergo student exchange programs (mobility and research) as well as various internationalization opportunities.
