SPECIAL PASS (SP)

WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR SPECIAL PASS AND WHY?  

  1. Applicant whose current pass expiring WITHIN 7 days.
  2. When converting from current pass to other of passes and insufficient period of time less in the current pass.
  3. When current pass is expired while waiting for extension application approval.

NEW PROCEDURE IN ISSUING SPECIAL PASS

We would like to inform you the new procedure in issuing the Special Pass for International Students that has been implemented by the Malaysia Immigration recently.

Effective from 04 January 2016, Malaysia Immigration has tightened the implementation of giving the Special Passes. As for now on, all Special Pass would be given and “Making Arrangement to Leave the Country” and no longer as “Pending for Employment Pass” or “Pending for Student Pass”.

All applicants who were given the Special Pass “Making Arrangement to Leave the Country” will no longer be able to apply for other passes such as Student Pass, Employment Pass or Professional Visit Pass while they are still in Malaysia. No conversion from one pass to another pass shall be made or given anymore by the Malaysia Immigration. All applicants have to leave the country once received the Special Pass.

OVERSTAY

Students and dependents who have overstayed in Malaysia will be brought over to the Immigration department for questioning by the immigration enforcement officer, accompanied by the Putra International Centre officer of UPM. Any penalties must be borne by the student (RM30/DAY)


SECOND OFFENCE

  • A fine of RM10, 000 plus a jail term will be imposed.
  • Penalties to be borne by the student.

  2. Pease DO NOT staple your documents and photo.
  3. Use a paper clip instead.
  4. Please number all the copies to avoid missing pages and delay at EMGS/Immigration.
